We create our futures one step at a time, and the journey is our legacy.

I never like hearing mature, capable adults, especially people I like and respect, say, “I don’t know what I’m going to be when I grow up.” I want to shout, “You are grown-up! Acknowledge yourself! If you’re standing on the threshold of one of life’s many doorways and you can’t see what’s in the next room, please honor the many spaces you’ve already lived in and learned from. Please don’t discount all your hard-earned experience.”
